I found Noa to bring tremendous energy and enthusiasm to her tutoring sessions. Her creative approach seemed to be very effective, and my (10-year-old) daughter came away with much greater understanding of the material and renewed confidence in her ability to successfully tackle challenging problems.

Noa was able to meet my 11 year old son right where he was and bring him along in a way which reduced his anxiety and self-doubt and highlighted his unique and creative ability to problem-solve. This change of attitude has been long lasting.

Noa is the embodiment of a miracle. Her tutoring style is exactly what both my children need. My 21-year-old and my 17-year-old have had many tutors over the years. They have both attended schools designed for learning differences. Noa is the only tutor/teacher who has tried to find out how my two learn and what method works best to enable them to move forward in gaining knowledge. . . My husband often said, "When the student is ready, the teacher will come." This has certainly been true for our family in Noa's having come into our sphere.
~
Before switching to Noa as her tutor, my daughter would be very frustrated by other teachers telling her "that's just the way it is" when she asked them to explain "why" math was done a certain way. My daughter had decided she was no good at math. Noa has taken the time to explore the "why" of math with my daughter and my daughter now feels confident she can accomplish the work required for higher math.
~
Noa, from the first minute she met my (10th grade) daughter, started building her up. She focused on the positive and gave her positive reinforcement. . . After her sessions with Noa she would come out not only with her homework done, but with a big smile and the confidence of knowing that she can do math! I highly recommend Noa to any one with any problem in math. She approaches math from every angle, the physical and emotional aspects. I wish there had been a Noa when I was coming up in school!

My son has been tagged as dyslexic and as ADD. To help him, Noa has done extensive research in both these areas. She has worked with my son to help him understand how to harness these learning differences and make his style work for him rather than against him. She continues to keep him engaged in wanting to learn. My son now enjoys reading for the first time ever and he is beginning to have a spelling repertoire above 2nd grade level. He even speaks of feeling he will someday be able to write in cursive - this from someone who has been considered "genius" on one end of the spectrum for comprehension & "slow" on the other end of the spectrum for spelling/writing.
My experience working with Noa has been a transformation for me. I suffered through many a math class getting failing grades until I finally gave up, thinking that I just wasn’t good with numbers. Turns out, with the help of Noa, I have learned that is not true. I now succeed where I used to fail. I expect A’s instead of F’s. Because I am understanding and embracing the way my mind works. This is what I am learning from Noa. I have had many teachers in my life. I give Noa and her methods my highest endorsement.

Noa was a great help to me. I had always felt like a math idiot. She helped me see that some people learn math differently and benefit from different teaching styles and methods. With her help, I became an A student in Algebra!

Noa has been extremely helpful in helping me understand how the brain works. She helped me understand that the left side of my brain and the right side of my brain work together. She has taught me when each one is in control and when I need to allow them to work independently and when I need them to work together. Noa is a great tutor and will be an asset to anyone who chooses to take advantage of her knowledge.

I first met Noa at a free Nashville Tech tutoring session. I was amazed at her skill to teach five students the same subject using a unique method for each of us... Later, I began studying with Noa privately. Through her tireless effort to devise a specialized plan for me to learn, I am now able to understand math on a level which has no ceiling on it. . . Most adults look back on their school years and, if they are lucky, can pick out one or two teachers who truly shaped who they are today. Noa will most definitely be one of mine.

Noa Ben-Amotz is very dedicated to opening up the world of mathematics to “mathophobics.” She adapts well to the needs of the students and is flexible in her teaching approach, i.e. if something isn’t working for the students, let’s try something else! I’m very grateful to her and enjoyed the class immensely.

I really appreciate the consistency of Ms. Noa. Her teaching abilities are excellent. I have learned basic algebra. She is very patient with her students and avaialble after hours. Her main goal is for each student to grasp and understand the material provided. Her goal is for the students to learn and apply what they have learned. She is again an excellenet teacher and I will recommend her to anyone who has problems with basic math. Thank you Ms. Noa!

Noa is the only teacher of math that I have ever met that cares. I came into this class completely dumbfounded and now I'm not. I have a greater understanding for math than I ever thought I would. Her teaching style is cool. She kept me interested and stimulated to learn more.

The instructor was great. Her methods were helpful tools in learning this subject. Also willing to help me outside of class, patient, encouraging. Her handouts extra helpful.

I think it is highly important to take time out to acknowledge the teaching abilities of Noa Ben-Amotz. I was in her class last semester and I received an “A” for the semester. This is due highly to Ms. Noa’s teaching techniques and her availability. She was very thorough in her teaching. She not only addressed her students who learned best by listening, but she also included the visual and kinesthetic learners. She understands that her students learn at a different pace. There were many times that I was not sure about a homework problem and called Ms. Noa, she took the time to address my problem. Now that I have moved on to Algebra 1, I have been equipped with the tools to grasp and understand the formulas of algebra. I highly recommend Ms. Noa as a tutor or an instructor. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had her as my instructor. I am also very grateful to her and I appreciated her concern for her students.

I now qualify Noa as my favorite teacher ever. I enjoyed going to class just to watch her teach. Also, I was really blessed to have her my first semester of college. In addition, I hoped I would have similar teachers like Noa Ben-Amotz in the future but I haven’t met one yet. She has helped me with personal issues and had no problem with stretching her time just to help me. I think anyone who has Noa Ben-Amotz as a tutor or a teacher will leave with uplifted confidence and a better understanding of the material that is given.
